More museums!

Dunking with Dad.
Gassing up the car.
Wet and wild at the water table.

Yesterday on Adam's day off we took Will into Boston to visit the Children's Museum. For anyone planning on going here...you definitely should! It is a great visit for kids probably age 1- teenage. One thing you should know before going is that it is expensive ($12/person) but you can do what we did...visit your local library and reserve a pass the day before. Then the museum is only $2/person! We reserved our pass at Hamilton, but I know that most of the libraries on the North Shore have them. Also, this is a popular program in other state libraries as well if there are museums in your area you want to check out.

Anyways...among Will's favorite exhibits were the bubble making, the construction zone, the ducks & boats, and the toddler area with..you guessed it...a giant train table. Another great thing about this museum is that they have a lunch room and free lockers you can use. So we packed up our lunch and ate part way through to keep Will's (and our) mometum going. I have posted a few picks...but you should really visit the museum when you have a chance.

Adam and I were trying to decide whether we liked the Children's Museum in NH or Boston better since they are the same distance from where we live. And for those who are wondering...they each have different exhibits..but are equally great. For Will's age (or anyone with kids younger than 3 or the "make-believe" stage) I think the NH museum is a little more appropriate, but just by a small margin.

After a great day I woke up this morning facing a long day alone...Adam worked 7am-10pm. But we managed to stay busy despite the cold. Here are some good things that happened today:

1. Will and I visited a new library in Beverly Farms. The woman at the desk begged us to sign up for her story hour for tots (not sure what to think about that) beginning in January...so we did.

2. Will did a lot of work on puzzles today and really did a great job.

3. We rented a Baby Einstein movie on Things that Go and watched it before nap. This movie is awesome! Will was rivted for the entire 28 minutes. It has songs too! (I should also note that I figured out how to play the movie on the new tv all by myself..personal accomplishment).

4. We signed up for swim classes at the Y starting in January...yay!

5. We made peanut butter blossom cookies and did a lot of licking of spoons.

6. Will started using the word 'help' in his vocabulary instead of 'eehhhh', the sound that makes my blood curdle.

So lots of fun stuff..tomorrow we have gymnastics!
